In the 1990’s, when blogs first appeared, they were just online diaries where people would share information about their lives. They have since grown to include writing and media on topics such as news, politics, music, food, business, and much more. Blogs have become an online encyclopedia. They teach us, entertain us and allow us to participate through the comment box.
In 2019, consumers expect to have some knowledge about the product they intend to purchase. Therefore, we have to educate them and create relevant content. Consequently, this will increase their loyalty and build some authority in the marketplace.

We keep asking ourselves if blogging is still relevant in today’s online content marketing environment. Here are 5 good reasons:
1. Increases your SEO – Blogging can contribute to your SEO (search engine optimization). Make sure that you are using keywords that are related to your business/product.
2. Makes your customers come back – Your blog posts have to be interesting and valuable to your readers.
3. Drives traffic to your website – Share your blog posts on your social media accounts and give your followers a reason to click to your website and learn more about your business/product.
4. Strengthen the relationship with your customers – Encourage your readers to leave their comments, their suggestions and to share your content.
5. Offers credibility – The more you have a voice in your marketplace, the more likely your business/product is to be on top of the minds of your costumers.
